Pickeru serves as a marketplace designed for international peer-to-peer delivery, enabling individuals to list items they wish to send and connect with international travelers willing to transport these items for a nominal compensation.

The platform operates without any associated costs for users, as there are no commissions or fees charged by Pickeru. Both pickers (travelers) and senders (individuals sending parcels) have the autonomy to establish their transaction terms independently.

It is noteworthy that air freight has significant environmental implications; transporting one ton of cargo per kilometer results in the emission of approximately 500 grams of CO2. Consequently, a single transatlantic cargo flight can contribute between 200 and 500 tonnes of CO2 emissions. This situation contrasts starkly with the hundreds of millions of international travelers who often find themselves with additional luggage space. Traditional delivery services for transatlantic parcels can also incur substantial costs.

Pickeru's mission is to offer an environmentally sustainable alternative for international parcel delivery. By facilitating connections between travelers and senders, the platform aims to provide a cost-effective solution for transporting parcels without relying on conventional freight methods. This approach helps to optimize available space in travelers' luggage while simultaneously contributing to a reduction in CO2 emissions.
